    Position Summary

    Early Connections / Conexiones Tempranas (EC/CT), a program of the Center for Early Relationship Support (CERS) at Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Boston, provides relationship-based clinical and family support services to families with young children living in Waltham and surrounding communities.

    Our work supports families impacted by stress, trauma, social isolation, and barriers to care through culturally and linguistically responsive services provided in homes and communities.

    Family Support Partners are parents, caregivers, or trusted community members who use their lived and professional experience to support other families through mentorship, advocacy, connection, and practical support. Working collaboratively with clinicians and community providers, Family Support Partners help strengthen caregiver-child relationships, reduce isolation, connect families to resources, and empower caregivers to navigate systems and advocate for their families.

    Family Support Partners are valued members of the EC/CT team and receive ongoing supervision and support from the Project Director and/or Clinical Supervisor.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Conduct outreach and relationship-building with families and community providers
    • Provide home visiting and community-based support to families living in Waltham and surrounding communities that is focused on strengthening the caregiver-child relationship.
    • Assist families in navigating public service systems and accessing community resources, including healthcare, WIC, DTA, Early Intervention, schools, housing, and other JF&CS services.
    • When appropriate, attend school meetings, support families during IEP or service planning processes, and help caregivers build self-advocacy skills
    • Collaborate closely with clinicians and community providers to support coordinated care towards family goals.
    • Help families identify strengths, build social connections, and reduce isolation.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program and agency expectations.
    • Participate in team meetings, supervision, trainings, and community collaboration efforts.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support families and program goals.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with families, caregivers, children, or community-based programs strongly preferred
    • Candidates with lived experience navigating parenting, immigration, Early Intervention, special education, healthcare, or community systems are strongly encouraged to apply
    • Ability to engage families with warmth, respect, humility, and non-judgment
    • Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and relationship-based practice
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to travel within Waltham and surrounding communities

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma required; additional education or training in human services, early childhood, family support, or related fields preferred
    • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
    • Experience supporting families and young children preferred
    • Familiarity with community systems and resources helpful
    • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Compensación

    Immediate eligibility for dental, vision, retirement plan; no waiting period

    • Medical Insurance coverage is effective the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment
