AFS-USA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Partnership Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that all hosted exchange participants are placed in schools that meet AFS, CSIET, and U.S. Department of State standards. The Coordinator will work closely with Regional Field Staff and local volunteers to secure school placements and maintain strong, compliant relationships with secondary schools across the U.S.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role, along with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an educational setting or with an educational organization, and a solid understanding of the trends and challenges faced by U.S. high schools. Experience working with or supporting volunteers is highly valued. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a customer service mindset, are essential. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage conflict professionally and resolve issues promptly. Self-motivation, multitasking abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key. This position requires the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and travel occasionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and online databases such as Salesforce is also required.
