    Overview

SF New Deal (SFND) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides hands-on technical and financial support to small businesses in San Francisco. Our mission is to strengthen neighborhoods by making it easier for under-resourced small business owners to succeed. We envision and are building towards a vibrant San Francisco with diverse and thriving small businesses. We operate a wide-range of programs guided by two strategic initiatives: increasing neighborhood vibrancy and supporting small business success.

Our team is growing as we continue to build and deliver innovative and responsive community-centered solutions to some of San Francisco’s most persistent challenges. Since our launch in March 2020, we’ve had significant impact and disbursed over $57 million dollars to nearly 2,082 small businesses citywide.

Our work is funded through private donations and government contracts.

We’re a team of highly-collaborative and committed optimists who believe that it’s our collective responsibility to invest in solutions that make San Francisco a great place for everyone. We would love for you to join us.

    • Support sponsor and donor engagement before, during, and after events, including follow-up and stewardship.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed to support successful execution.

    Major Donor Cultivation & Growth

    • Support major donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, including prospect research, briefing materials, and meeting preparation.
    • Assist with donor follow-up, tracking touchpoints, and advancing prospects through the pipeline.
    • Partner with the Director of Development and Executive Director to ensure consistent, high-quality donor engagement.

    Development Operations & Team Leadership

    • Manage up to Development leadership by proactively tracking deadlines, flagging risks, and ensuring follow-through on fundraising priorities.
    • Work closely with the Development Associate to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and operational support across all fundraising activities.
    • Support the implementation of development plans, systems, and processes to strengthen fundraising infrastructure.
    • Contribute to development reporting, forecasts, and progress updates for leadership and the board.
