    General Information about the Position:

The Nonprofit Learning Lab is seeking a part-time Manager of Program Experience to help shape the strategy, quality, and growth of our educational programming. This is a highly strategic, part-time position (approximately 6 hours per week) designed to support the planning and quality of the Nonprofit Learning Lab's educational programming. Working closely with the CEO, this role will identify emerging topics, cultivate relationships with external trainers, and ensure workshop content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with the needs of our community. This position focuses on program strategy, trainer development, and content quality rather than day-to-day workshop logistics. This position builds upon the Nonprofit Learning Lab's established operating procedures, templates, and workflows. The Manager of Program Experience is responsible for implementing and strengthening existing processes rather than creating new operational systems.

    Program Strategy & Planning

    • Based on direction from the CEO, develop and plan the annual workshop calendar and long-term program strategy.
    • Analyze registration trends, participant feedback, and program performance data to identify patterns and recommend future programming.
    • Communicate finalized program details and approved content to the appropriate staff for publication on the website, email communications, and other marketing materials.

    External Trainer Recruitment & Outreach

    • Develop and oversee strategies to identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with both prospective and existing trainers.
    • Using current strategies, conduct outreach to potential trainers and manage the recruitment pipeline from initial contact to new presenter showcases to scheduling workshops.
    • Build and maintain a diverse network of trainers representing a broad range of expertise
    • Track outreach efforts, maintain accurate records, and recommend strategies to the CEO to strengthen trainer engagement and recruitment.
    • Under the supervision of the CEO, evaluate gaps in current programming and proactively identify trainers who can address audience needs.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with existing trainers to support future workshop opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.

    Program Quality & Participant Experience

    • Using our existing operating procedures, review, edit, and refine workshop titles, descriptions, learning objectives, and related program content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with the Nonprofit Learning Lab's standards before publication on the website.
    • Using our existing operating procedures, submit approved materials to the appropriate team member for posting on the website
    • Collaborate with external trainers to review submitted workshop materials, recommend edits, and work with them to revise content as needed to improve quality, clarity, and participant appeal prior to publication.
    • Ensure workshop descriptions accurately reflect the content, intended audience, and learning outcomes while maintaining a consistent voice and style across all program listings.

    Qualifications

    • Experience planning, coordinating, or managing educational programs, conferences, retreats, campus programming, continuing education, or professional development initiatives.
    • Demonstrated experience identifying, recruiting, and cultivating facilitators, speakers, or subject matter experts.
    • Excellent written communication, editing, and proofreading skills, including experience reviewing content before publication.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships through strategic outreach and collaboration.
    • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
    • Experience developing program schedules
    • Experience using Google Workspace (including Google Sheets), Trello, and Jotform or similar online project management and workflow tools.
