Atlantic Theater Company, the award-winning Off-Broadway theater company and NAST-accredited acting school, seeks a highly organized Finance Associate to join our finance team.
The Finance Associate is responsible for recording all receipts and incoming assets for the company. They will support the Finance Director with day-to-day operations of the fast-paced finance department. Ideal candidates will possess impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational, problem-solving and computer skills, and should be comfortable interfacing with all members of the Atlantic community. This position requires the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and execute tasks with discretion, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude. Ideal candidates will have a passion for non-profit theater and theater education with an interest in pursuing a career in non-profit finance or arts management. Experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and proficiency in accrual accounting is required.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Record all income into QuickBooks including membership sales, box office and group sales, school tuition, contributed income and rental income
- Review and maintain all receivable assets, and communicate with the parties responsible for outstanding receivables
- Perform monthly income reconciliations with corresponding departments including development, school tuition, box office, membership, and rentals
- Preparation of daily electronic and weekly bank deposits and recording of all incoming cash transactions
- Support Finance Department with annual audit preparation
- Additional support and projects as needed

Compensación
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an annual salary of $48,000–$52,000 and a full benefits package including paid time off, health, dental and optional employee-contributed vision insurance, life insurance, long- and short-term disability upon eligibility, an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan, a Flexible Spending Account and Transit Benefits.
