Live Out Loud is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering LGBTQAI+ youth through education, mentorship, leadership training, and scholarships. Entering our 25th Anniversary Year, we continue to create safe, affirming spaces where youth can discover their voices and become leaders of change.

    About the Homecoming Project

The Homecoming Project is one of Live Out Loud’s signature programs, inviting LGBTQAI+ individuals nationwide to return to their former high schools and share their personal journeys with students. These visits inspire LGBTQAI+ youth by showing them the endless possibilities ahead, while also giving alumni the opportunity to reflect on their growth and achievements. The program fosters intergenerational connection, visibility, and pride, making a lasting impact on students, schools, and communities.

      • Develop event materials and resources, including speaker guides, promotional content, and post-event surveys.
      • Document program outcomes and collect testimonials (written and video) for use in reports, fundraising, and social media.
      • Support cultivation and partnership efforts to grow the Homecoming Project nationally.

    Qualifications

      • Passion for Live Out Loud’s mission and deep knowledge of LGBTQAI+ issues.
      • Strong project coordination, outreach, and communication skills.
      • Experience working with schools, educators, or youth development programs a plus.
      • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
      • Creative thinker with the ability to inspire and engage community members.
      • Event coordination or nonprofit experience preferred.
