    Director of Admissions (Atrium School, PreK – Grade 8)

    Watertown, MA (Greater Boston)

    Atrium’s Director of Admissions develops and implements an inspiring and strategic vision for the recruitment and admission of children and families for Atrium School. Merging deeply relationship-based outreach with data-driven insights and marketing, the Director collaborates with the communications, advancement, finance, and program functions of the school. Warm, curious, tactful, enthusiastic, and proactive, the Director sustains and grows Atrium’s enrollment.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Embrace and represent Atrium’s mission, philosophy, program, and culture within and beyond the school. Cultivate and grow an active network of peer institutions, current & former families, students, and alumni to deepen awareness and create ambassadors for Atrium.
    • Utilize keen awareness of Greater Boston demographic & socioeconomic trends and school choice patterns to best inform Atrium’s marketing, outreach, and admissions practices. Cultivate relationships through our community, from feeder schools to Atrium’s Board.
    • Oversee a comprehensive admissions strategy for admitting new students to the school, including: actively creating interest in Atrium across a variety of communities; enthusiastically presenting Atrium to diverse prospective families; leading engaging events of various types.
    • Develop and manage effective application systems and lead prompt communication with candidate families; coordinate screening, assessment, decision-making, and matriculation.
    • Formulate an array of marketing strategies (social media, digital marketing, relational outreach, print, events, and word of mouth). Collaborate with Atrium’s Director of Communications and leadership team to author core and differentiated messaging.
    • Create and produce vibrant outward-facing descriptions of Atrium’s curriculum and program.
    • Collaborate with the Head of School and Director of Finance & Operations to administer Atrium’s tuition assistance program for current and new families, and manage the re-enrollment of current students.
    • Manage marketing budgets and partner relationships.

    • Highly organized; excellent time-management and presentation skills.
    • A skilled writer and verbal storyteller, who works well both independently and collaboratively; initiative-oriented; possesses a keen eye for the telling detail and the powerful anecdote.
    • Sharp skills and experience in database management, enrollment management systems, and marketing tools.
    • Experience and comfort with children and a sense of their capacities, and the skills to assess readiness for Atrium’s joyful, academically challenging program.
    • Three years of experience in independent school admissions, enrollment, marketing, and communication leadership or a highly related field.

    This is a full-time administrative & leadership position.     Salary range $88,000 to $95,000 for an 11-month schedule
