About LMACS: Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School (LMACS) is a small, public charter high school located in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. Position Overview: Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School (LMACS) seeks a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Coordinator to join our team. This role combines leadership, collaboration, and direct student support to ensure high-quality special education services that align with state and federal requirements and reflect the LMACS mission of supporting over-age, under-credited students in achieving academic, social, and career success.
The Special Education Coordinator oversees the implementation of all special education programs and services, provides case management and instructional support, and works closely with teachers, families, and the Student Support Team to foster inclusive, equitable learning environments.
