    The New York Center for Children (NYCC) is a private, nonprofit agency which provides free, comprehensive therapy services to children, adolescents and their families who have experienced child abuse, neglect, domestic violence or other trauma.

    NYCC is seeking a highly motivated professional with strong clinical skills to join our team. We are interested in individuals who have a background in working with children and adolescents and trauma informed treatment. This is a full time, Monday-Friday position with one remote day per week.

    Job Description:

    • Provide individual clinical treatment to children, adolescents and non-offending parents who have experienced abuse/trauma. (caseload is approx. 20 clients per week)
    • Co-facilitate therapeutic groups.
    • Participate in weekly staff, clinical, peer and individual supervision meetings.
    • Keep up-to-date statistics, including OVS statistics, documentation and reports as required.
    • Conduct intake of new client referrals.
    • Provide advocacy for children and families.
    • Facilitate relations between ACS, partner agencies and families as needed.
    • Conduct trainings and educational workshops.

    Qualifications:

    • LMSW and NYS licensure required
    • Oral and written fluency in Spanish preferred
    • Clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families.
    • Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Knowledge of how trauma impacts child development and family systems.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Compensación

    NYCC offers a benefit package that includes health and dental insurance; 403b with match after one year employment; generous paid vacation/sick days. Clinical supervision hours are provided. One remote day per week. Stipend for professional development as well as in-office trainings.
