    About Art Impact Project

Mission – To enhance emotional wellness through creative expression

Vision – To create opportunities for all to cope and hope through the impact of art

Art Impact Project (AIP) partners with Lake County schools, community centers, and service providers focused on recovery, gun violence prevention, detention, and specific communities such as justice-involved individuals, veterans, LGBTQ+, and others to offer non-clinical therapeutic art programming at partner locations. We facilitate art-based wellness projects in small group settings and guide the sharing of thoughts and emotions revealed through artmaking. We serve youth ages 11+ through senior adults with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences providing safe non-judgmental spaces for self-exploration and sharing. Our programs support self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relational skills, and responsible decision-making often leading to greater confidence, empathy, and a sense of belonging.
