OVERVIEW
Health Advocates is a small, dynamic nonprofit with a 40-year history of serving older New Yorkers. With a staff of six and an annual budget of approximately $850,000, we provide free programs and services that promote healthy aging for more than 1,500 adults age 60+ each year.
We are seeking an organized, mission-driven fundraising professional to partner with the Executive Director in sustaining and growing philanthropic support. This role blends strategic planning—including campaign development, donor engagement, and volunteer support—with hands-on execution such as grant writing, appeals, donor database management, acknowledgements, and event planning. Success in this position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative fundraiser who enjoys both strategy and hands-on work. As Health Advocates' lead development professional, you will play a central role in shaping fundraising initiatives, strengthening relationships with donors and volunteers, and helping a respected community organization expand its impact.
