    Job Summary

    The IT Specialist at Platform for Social Impact (PSI) is responsible for maintaining the organization’s end-user computing environment and cloud services to ensure efficient service delivery. This role serves as a key technical resource, providing day-to-day support for Windows and macOS devices, administering Microsoft 365 accounts, and enforcing cybersecurity best practices. The IT Specialist plays a vital role in supporting PSI’s mission by ensuring that staff and volunteers have the reliable technology and training necessary to drive social impact.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for Windows and macOS endpoints, resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues to ensure consistent high-quality IT service delivery.
    • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage user account provisioning and lifecycle management (onboarding/offboarding), including email setup, licensing, and access troubleshooting for the organization.
    • System Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and updates for desktops, laptops, printers, and accessories to maintain a reliable IT environment.
    • Cybersecurity Enforcement: Support the organization’s security posture by enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), managing antivirus/endpoint protection, ensuring patch compliance, and performing basic security incident triage.
    • Asset & Inventory Management: Manage and track IT assets, including devices, licenses, and accessories, while coordinating equipment refreshes and replacements.
    • Cloud & Collaboration Support: Assist staff with the use of cloud-based project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint,

    Planners to enhance productivity.

    • Documentation: Maintain accurate IT documentation, including incident logs, resolutions, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
    • Training & Development: Provide technical guidance and training to staff and volunteers to help them effectively use PSI’s technology systems and adopt relevant tools.
    • Network & Infrastructure Support: Assist with core infrastructure needs, including basic network troubleshooting, connectivity issues, and coordination with external vendors for complex escalations.
    • General Tasks: Perform other duties and special projects assigned to support the IT department and the overall mission of the Platform for Social Impact.

    Nivel de Idiomas

    Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Management, or related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles.
    • Technical Background: Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid environments (Windows and macOS) and administering Microsoft 365 services.
    • Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively communicate with all users in a professional setting.
    • Non-Profit Experience: Prior experience working in the non-profit sector or familiarity with non-profit-specific IT solutions, preferably.

    Core Competencies

    • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in supporting Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft 365 administration, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
    • Advanced Tools: Experience with Power BI support (configuration and user access), endpoint management tools (Intune/MDM), or project management software (Jira, Asana).
    • Network Fundamentals: Familiarity with basic network infrastructure, such as switches, access points, and VPN basics.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands:

    • Setting: Office-based role with regular use of standard office equipment; may require occasional evening and weekend work based on job demands.
    • Physical Requirements: The role may involve lifting and moving files or IT equipment (e.g., computers, printers).
    • Travel: Minimal travel may be required to serve locations as part of PSI’s projects or to attend conferences.
