    Descripción

    The Ipswich Housing Authority (IHA) seeks an experienced and innovative executive director to lead and manage its programs, properties, and contracts. The IHA owns and operates 390 state and federal housing units. This includes 24 Ch. 200 family units, 120 Ch. 667 elderly/disabled units, 12 Ch.689 units, 80 MRVP/DMH Vouchers, and 10 AHVP vouchers, as well as administering 50 Housing Choice Vouchers. Additionally, IHA manages the Salisbury Housing Authority, consisting of 80 Ch.667 elderly/disabled units and 58 Housing Choice Vouchers, and the Hamilton Housing Authority, consisting of 52 Ch. 667 elderly/disabled units, 7 Ch. 705 family units, and 8 Ch. 689 units. IHA is a co-general partner in a 94-unit low-income housing tax-credit (LIHTC)/Project-Based Section 8 Subsidy property and provides property management and program compliance services for the property.

    Required Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in public or private housing, community development, public administration, non-profit administration or a closely related field that demonstrates strong management and organization skills. Knowledge of the principles and practices of housing management, finances and maintenance systems in public or private housing is desired. Experience with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program is also preferable but not required. One (1) years’ experience overseeing at least three staff persons or as a significant project team leader or program administration is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of laws regulating State and Federal housing programs is desired. Experience working with people of various socio-economic backgrounds. While not required for hiring, certification as a property manager or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization or by certification as an MPHA of an EOHLC-approved Massachusetts Public Housing Administrator Certification Program is desirable or must be obtained within the first year of employment.     The annual starting salary ranges from $148,728 to $165,254 depending upon experience, certifications, and in accordance with the EOHLC Executive Director Salary Schedule/Calculation worksheet. The work week is 37.5 hrs. per week and includes a generous benefit portfolio.
