Executive Director for Non-Profit — Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®)
Full-Time, Exempt | Base Salary: $75,000 | Unlimited PTO
Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) is seeking an Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations, compliance, financial administration, human resources, fund development, and membership administration, while also driving revenue growth for our class programming — including RIE® Foundations™, RIE® Practicum™, RIE® Internship™, Parent-Infant Guidance™, Before Baby™, Nurturing Nanny™, and Cuidadoras Cariñosas™.
This is a highly independent, entrepreneurial role: the Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors and operates without administrative support, so comfort using AI tools and automation to manage a busy workload efficiently is essential.
This position offers a remote, flexible work schedule and unlimited PTO.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including finances, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Negotiate leases and manage relationships with property-service vendors
- Maintain organizational insurance coverage (D&O, General Liability, Workers' Comp, etc.)
- Administer membership onboarding, renewals, and related communications
- Prepare financial reports, coordinate the annual 990 filing, and support Board reporting
HR & Payroll
- Oversee staff attendance and hours, run payroll, and serve as HR administrator
- Manage payment structures for course teachers, workshop providers, orientation leaders, and RIE® Mentor teachers
Fund Development & Donor Relations
- Lead fund development and donor relations
- Maintain donation records and a donor/family contact database
Intellectual Property & Inventory
- Support trademark renewal and monitoring with outside counsel
- Manage physical and streaming content inventory across our locations
- Support inventory promotion through social media, email, and the website
Class Revenue
- Set class fees, enrollment targets, and revenue projections
- Oversee registration and enrollment tracking; keep class offerings current on the website
- Monitor revenue performance and execute instructor/venue contracts
- Own class marketing strategy
ABOUT YOU
You're a self-starter who thrives working independently, is comfortable wearing many hats (operations, finance, HR, fundraising, marketing), and is excited to use AI tools and automation to run an efficient, lean organization. Nonprofit management experience and familiarity with membership-based or education-focused organizations are a plus.

Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Magda Gerber's Educaring® Approach, supporting a community of RIE® Associates, families, and educators through our RIE® Certified Programs. Every RIE® Associate is trained to embody the role of an Educarer®, guiding families with respect, observation, and trust.

or similar) to manage your own work, not just supervised a team that used them?
4.Do you have direct, hands-on experience preparing financial reports, coordinating a
990 filing, or managing an annual operating budget under $500,000?
5.Have you personally run payroll or served as the HR administrator for an
organization, without a payroll or HR department supporting you?
