    Descripción

About HDC Housing Development Center (HDC) is a nonprofit consulting group based in Portland, Oregon. Our staff are committed to fostering equitable communities where all people have the opportunity to meet their basic needs and thrive. Working in communities across Oregon and southwest Washington, we provide capacity and expertise in the affordable housing space, offering integrated services in the areas of housing and facilities development, asset management, policy and industry support, and community development financing. Our mission: Centering those who have been historically oppressed, HDC collaborates with its partners to envision, develop, and sustain affordable homes and community places. For more information about HDC, visit www.hdc-nw.org.

Position Summary HDC’s asset management team provides technical assistance and training to support best practices in affordable housing asset management—helping community-based organizations, housing authorities, and public agencies keep their housing properties and funding portfolios healthy and strong. The asset management project assistant (AMPA) is responsible for supporting HDC’s asset management team to meet the needs of its clients. The AMPA is a primary member of the Risk Mitigation Programs (RMP) team, supporting the RMP project manager to process financial claims for property damage and operational losses at affordable housing properties. The AMPA also performs a mix of other administrative and technical projects and tasks, working primarily with members of the asset management team and engaging directly with HDC’s asset management clients as appropriate. This position is expected to be a growth opportunity involving exposure to varied responsibilities for a person who is in the early stages of their asset management career.

    Cómo aplicar

Please visit https://www.hdc-nw.org/about/careers to view the complete job announcement, including specific job responsibilities, required and preferred qualifications, and application instructions.

    Please note the following:

    • The person hired for this position must reside in (or relocate to) Oregon or Washington. (This post incorrectly says only "Oregon" above because Idealist's form allows input of only one state.)
    • Though the position is listed as 100% remote, some in-person meetings are required. Employees of HDC have the option to work at our downsized office if preferred. We expect to transition to hybrid work in the near future.
    • Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs for which they might reasonably be considered and hired, compared to others with similar qualifications. HDC encourages you to apply if you aren’t sure whether you meet every qualification listed or if you require a reasonable accommodation to perform job duties.
