    JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Positively Safe Specialist is primarily responsible for: 1) providing technical assistance and training on domestic violence and HIV/AIDS to organizations working with domestic violence victims and people living with HIV and other conditions that affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate and lead meetings with project partners.
    • Provide training on the intersection of domestic violence and HIV/AIDS and social determinants of health to organizations working with domestic violence survivors and people living with HIV.
    • Work with project partners to develop training materials—including webinar collaboration opportunities, toolkit and outreach materials, eLearning modules, and podcast episodes.
    • Prepare abstracts to speak on the intersection of domestic violence and HIV at national, state, and international conferences.
    • Develop culturally appropriate resources and outreach materials regarding specialized issues affecting survivors of domestic violence and people living with HIV.
    • Creating resources, toolkit materials, podcast episodes, and eLearning modules related to best practices for supporting survivors living with HIV and access to HIV preventative care for survivors.
    • Assist in identifying diverse speakers/partners for resource creation and training collaboration.
    • Provide daily technical assistance requests by phone and email, providing information and referrals as needed.
    • Staff Positively Safe exhibit booths at state, national, and international conferences.
    • Work as a member of the NNEDV team—collaborating with other NNEDV programs and staff.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of experience related to domestic and/or sexual violence services, HIV/AIDS, and/or health care.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of the intersection of domestic violence and HIV/AIDS and the issues surrounding health equity.
    • Understanding of trauma-informed advocacy and social determinants of health.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and overlapping timelines.
    • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to relationship-build with advocates across time zones.
    • Facilitation/training skills for in-person and virtual events.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to take on new projects and problem-solve creatively.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
    • Commitment to the organizational mission, including: 1) understanding of coalition work; 2) demonstrated commitment to anti-violence work, anti-domestic violence work, and racial equity; and 3) an ardent respect for domestic violence survivors.

    LOCATION: Remote, with occasional travel required to D.C. for all-staff and team meetings. Travel may be required to attend conferences or trainings elsewhere.
