Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national organization that brings white people into

fights for racial and economic justice. We work to build the white flank of multiracial majorities

fighting for the things all communities need. We organize white people by engaging their shared

local chapters across the US and Canada, a National Membership base, and local base building

    projects in the South.

The Congregational Coach (herein called “the Coach”) will support congregations through a nine month training program that organizes churches to respond to Christian nationalism that is hosted by Showing Up for Racial Justice Education Fund and the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice. The Coach will support congregational leadership teams in conducting one-on-one campaigns to clarify a vision for the congregation. The Coach will support these teams in designing and implementing plans for organizing campaigns, survival strategies, and or spiritual formation.
