You will manage a talented and committed team of 15 individuals (including 5 direct reports) responsible for delivering services, data management, and community outreach. You will also work closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment with operational, financial, marketing, and fundraising objectives.

You are a highly resourceful and strategic thinker who is collaborative and adaptive with strong operational capacities. You have the ability to sustain the tone of an organization that has a long-standing reputation for and commitment to the confidentiality of all clients.

    • Oversee and provide vision, leadership, and direction of all programs and services to the Health & Human Services teams.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of programs and services while simultaneously maintaining a high standard of excellence in terms of responsiveness, quality of services, and overall professionalism.
    • Directly lead several special projects and programs that connect all areas of mission delivery including research and surveys, provider network development, national panels and/or press, mission-based video content, holiday and other special campaigns, annual reports, and client testimonials database.
    • Oversee creation and expansion of outreach strategy to encompass underserved and diverse communities.
    • Enhance and expand collaborative community partnerships at the state, local and national level for the efficient and effective delivery of services, including directing contract negotiations with partners and developing programs with partner agencies and health care groups to eliminate any gaps in services and reduce duplication of services.
    • Support the Development team with fundraising concepts and proposals as needed.
    • Build and implement a disaster relief infrastructure to address unforeseen and immediate needs from the music community as necessary.
    • Compile, track, and analyze statistical data for board reports, grant writing, and internal and external partners when needed.
    • Set targeted and strategic annual goals for team members, consistently analyzing progress throughout the year to ensure results, and oversee development and training opportunities for the team.
    • Oversee and manage departmental budget, focusing on maximizing each charitable dollar.
    • Work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, regularly reporting on the organization’s charitable impact.
    • Serve as a public facing representative for MusiCares in the press, on panels, and for public speaking opportunities.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate degree in social work, public health, business administration or similar preferred.
