    Job description

Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) was founded on the simple idea that no one deserves to be hurt. Over the past 48 years, we have built the strongest team of clinicians, attorneys, legal advocates, preventionists and volunteers around. We are available from the moments after someone has been hurt, all the way through the culmination of that survivor's healing process. We work with survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, childhood sexual abuse, human trafficking, community violence and homicide. We work to change culture to prevent violence from happening in the first place. We provide legal support and holistic forms of therapy. Everything we do is free.

We are now considered leaders in the space we helped create, and we have been growing steadily over the past seven years. Our programs are innovative and our work is exciting and we would like you to be part of it.

    Our Clinical Program

CVTC provides a wide range of healing services to any survivor of interpersonal violence. Our renowned clinical team is composed of expert therapists who support survivors of violence through individual, trauma-focused therapy. In most cases, clients are seen weekly for a period of six to eighteen months, depending on the history of trauma that brings them to CVTC. Our program prioritizes individuals who are not able to pay for services like the ones we offer and thus works to minimize barriers that exist between underserved client populations and the care they deserve. In addition to individual therapy, the clinical team offers an extensive range of group therapy options that include psychoeducation groups, relational and experiential trauma processing groups, DBT skills-building groups and many more. The program serves over 1,300 individuals annually.

    The Role

The ideal candidate for this position is a gifted clinician who has a demonstrated background in serving survivors of trauma and interpersonal violence, with a particular passion for working with survivors of intimate partner and family violence. They are flexible, dedicated and excited to grow in their clinical work.

The Domestic Violence Program Coordinator holds responsibilities in addition to being a staff therapist at CVTC, providing outreach (during working hours) to each survivor of domestic violence seen at our six partner hospital emergency departments. They are also a partner to the hospital staff at these institutions, joining the rest of our hospital partners team in providing ongoing training on trauma-informed care for survivors. And they’re a valued representative of CVTC at multiple task forces and coalitions.

In short, the best fit for this role is someone who is gratified by the clinical practice that will represent most of their work week but is also a strong presenter and enthusiastic community partner who will take great joy from the variety this position has to offer.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide individual trauma-focused therapy to adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, gun violence and other forms of interpersonal violence with particular focus on survivors of intimate partner violence
