A new role with NEW Pride Agenda (NPA)—Expanding our advocacy efforts, the Community
Advocacy Coordinator position will be responsible for strengthening the organization's
grassroots advocacy and civic engagement efforts across New York State. This role will support
community members in becoming powerful advocates, connect local issues to statewide
campaigns, and ensure that policy priorities reflect lived experiences.
The ideal candidate is passionate about LGBTQ+ justice, enjoys working with people, and is
skilled at mobilizing communities for advocacy in New York. This position operates at the
intersections of organizing, leadership development, and policy work, and requires a balance of
relationship-building, program coordination, and issue-based advocacy.
Here's What You'll Do

Position Details
ENTRY LEVEL | Community Advocacy Coordinator
Working directly with the Statewide Policy & Advocacy Manager and Executive Director, and
other advocacy related staff
COMPENSATION | $45,000 (paid hourly); up to 30 hours per week
Final compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include
geographic location, work experience, knowledge, and skill level
CLASSIFICATION | Exempt, part-time
LOCATION | Hybrid with some travel; Preference for candidates based in NYC Metro-area,
including Long Island
PREFERRED (but not required) | Bilingual or multilingual skills
