    Youth Pride Inc.’s mission is to meet the unique and ongoing needs of LGBTQ+ youth and young adults through advocacy, support, and education.

    YPI is seeking the ideal candidate to fill the position of Clinical Lead. The right individual will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of YPI and the ability to work successfully with youth representing diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and perspectives. The Clinical Lead will oversee the coordination of mental health services and case management, reporting to the Executive Director. This is a part-time position, 25-30 hours, generally occurring between 1 and 8 pm on weekdays. Some weekends are required. The starting rate of pay is $30-35 per hour, depending on experience.

    We are looking for a person who can bring a high level of energy and creativity to duties that include:

    • Maintain communication with per-diem clinicians and others, providing one-on-one counseling, supporting advocacy and follow-up efforts
    • Coordinate and facilitate case management, collecting data on services provided as well as youth demographics.
    • Provide direct support and referral to appropriate services, including those related to housing, medical care, mental health support, education, job training, basic needs, etc.
    • Supervise select interns and volunteers.
    • Spend time in housing spaces, socializing with youth, and maintaining case notes regarding relevant interactions.
    • Plan and develop programs and services that are responsive to the needs of LGBTQQ* youth and advance YPI’s mission.
    • Support evaluation, data collection, and reporting efforts
    • Attend relevant community meetings, committee service, and fund development events
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Tasks specific to navigating the housing services and YHDP/other grant funding
    • Some Flexibility is required

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
    • Licensed in Rhode Island as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
    • Experience working with a diverse population of youth
    • Culturally-informed competency towards individuals identifying as LGBTQQ is required
    • Experience working with trans/gender non-conforming youth preferred
    • Experience providing outpatient behavioral health treatment services required
    • The successful candidate must pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and have a valid driver’s license
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about and implement concepts of diversity, inclusion, intercultural relations, youth identity development, and LGBTQQ* support
    • Must be able to handle confidential information and data
    • Experience conducting training and leadership development workshops
    • Excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills
    • Have independent liability insurance

    Compensación

    Youth Pride, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits program, which includes two weeks of paid vacation time, accruing paid sick time, 15 paid federal holidays, and two paid weeks of center closures - the week of the 4th of July and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
