Board Support: Assisting Board members with fundraising support as needed; taking Board meeting minutes and maintaining records as requested; arranging commemorative awards for outgoing Board members.

Event Lead: Managing all activity associated with the annual fundraising gala in collaboration with other staff, the contracted event planner, and various vendors; staffing the Event Committee and working closely with the Event Committee Co-Chairs; overseeing sponsor onboarding and sponsorship benefits; and coordinating the night of the event. Supporting additional fundraising and donor engagement events throughout the year.

Database Manager: Managing all activities related to database management, list pulls, and reports; liaising with accounting team; tracking Board membership and solicitations; and entering gifts and producing all gift acknowledgements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of fundraising experience including experience with event fundraising, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
    • Familiarity and appreciation of the role and mission of the Public Interest Law Center as well as understanding the importance of public interest law; demonstrated commitment to social justice; and capacity to articulate the mission and interact comfortably with those individuals and constituency groups crucial to the advancement of the Law Center.
    • Strong attention to details and the ability to establish priorities and strategies to complete multiple tasks on time and effectively.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Comfort engaging with attorneys and translating complex legal work into compelling, donor-facing narratives. Proficiency with a CRM; experience with Neon One preferred.
