    About CPR:

    Established in 1977, CPR is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes the prevention and resolution of conflict to better enable the pursuit of purpose through the CPR Institute and its subsidiary, CPR Dispute Resolution Services LLC.

    The CPR Institute builds capacity for dispute prevention and resolution through the thought leadership of its diverse members – companies, leading mediators and arbitrators, law firms, individual practitioners, and academics – who share best practices and develop innovative tools for dispute management through committee discussions and projects, publications, education and training, and hosting events.

    CPR Dispute Resolution is a responsive, user-focused provider of dispute management services – arbitration, mediation, custom appointing services, a panel of dispute prevention specialists, and more - that leverages resources generated by the CPR Institute. The case administrators are responsive, efficient, and detail-oriented, and have extensive backgrounds in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The Panel of Distinguished Neutrals is a carefully curated, diverse group of prominent, experienced subject matter and ADR professionals on over 30 specialty panels. And CPR Dispute Resolution’s Complete Case platform, a holistic end-to-end digital environment designed for ADR, handles matters efficiently and securely.     Position Overview:

    This is a part-time, permanent position that will support two Boards of Directors in executing, scheduling, and assisting with committee management and will support the CPR Institute team in an administrative capacity. This role’s primary responsibilities will be to serve as the central point for scheduling board activities, assisting with executive calendar management, and administrative coordination of board governance materials and documentation. Additional responsibilities will include providing administrative and operational support in the form of managing CPR’s online store, assorted CRM data entry, processing office mail, and providing ad-hoc clerical assistance to support CPR’s multiple in-person and online events. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills who anticipates challenges, troubleshoots problems, and is solution orientated.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities to support the activities of the Institute, including but not limited to:

    • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for two Boards of Directors and related committees, including U.S. and international members.
    • Administer the board portal and maintain accurate governance documentation.
    • Prepare, format, and distribute board and committee materials, including board books.
    • Organize board meeting minutes, resolutions, and supporting documentation for review and retention by the Corporate Secretaries.
    • Assist in the onboarding and off boarding of board members, including committee assignments and website updates.
    • Schedule meetings with external stakeholders and anticipate scheduling conflicts for the President & CEO of CPR and the Vice President of CPR Dispute Resolution Services.
    • Support plans to ensure the timely and organized execution of CPR member driven international programs, initiatives and trainings in collaboration with programming liaisons and other organizational marketing efforts.
    • Support CPR’s International Advisory Boards, working groups, and task forces, as well as the Y-ADR Steering Committee in collaboration with the VP – Global Initiatives.
    • Communicate with constituents; plan and schedule meetings; help develop agendas; circulate materials; track participation; update rosters and website pages; and keep minutes.
    • Provide support in task force projects, as appropriate. Create and maintain documents to archive programming and track task force statuses.
    • Support the CPR Institute as needed with ad-hoc clerical, administrative, and maintenance support as needed.
    • Support Institute staff in executing outside collaborations in order to extend the reach of the Institute and broaden its base of members and supporters.
    • Other duties that may be assigned.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
    • Experience with supporting a board is a must.
    • Experience in program management (planning, execution, and delivery).
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Adaptable technology skills with an ability to quickly master the association management system software and the organization’s website back-end.
    • Superior working knowledge of Zoom; creating meetings, recording, breakout rooms, etc., as well as Teams
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

    Other Information:

    This is a part-time permanent, non-exempt position with paid time off, Summer Fridays and other benefits. Some travel outside of the NYC metro area may be required depending on the needs of specific events and the organization. CPR’s work hours are 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Eastern, Monday through Friday. Evening and/or weekend work is rare but may occur during 2-3 peak time periods each year.

    This is a hybrid position. The incumbent will work in the office 1-3 days per week, as required. CPR will provide a laptop for business use.

    CPR is located just on Lexington Avenue directly off the 6 and E trains. CPR is also within walking distance of Grand Central Terminal.

    If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and CPR reserves the right to modify compensation (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, CPR or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    Compensación

    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including discretionary bonuses in addition to a full range of other benefits and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
