Position Title: Spanish Teacher (Grades 2–8)

Position Summary

St. Saviour Catholic Academy is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth. We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. The Spanish Teacher will provide engaging, age-appropriate instruction to students in grades 2 through 8, cultivating an appreciation of the Spanish language and culture while supporting the mission and values of our Catholic school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons for grades 2–8, aligned with curriculum standards and the school’s mission.
• Teach vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills at varying developmental levels.
• Incorporate cultural education to promote understanding and appreciation of Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those who may need additional support or enrichment.
• Integrate Catholic values and themes when appropriate, fostering respect, responsibility, and moral development.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding academic and behavioral growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school wide initiatives and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events, including liturgies, celebrations, and service activities.
• Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• State teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish; native or near-native fluency preferred.
