About the Role

This is a results-based role, not a time-based or hours-logged position. We are looking for a self-motivated champion to help us expand our Companion Connections (CC) program by hitting specific, clear recruitment milestones over a six-month period.

How you reach these goals is entirely up to you. If you are deeply connected to mental health, recovery, or re-entry communities, this is a flexible opportunity to make a massive, tangible impact on isolation and loneliness.

Primary Deliverables

The success of this contract relies on meeting two primary targets during the 6-month term:

• Recruit 10 additional volunteers: Ideally, these are peers with lived experience in mental health, recovery, or re-entry.
• Recruit 12 additional participants: Individuals in mental health or addiction recovery who are experiencing loneliness; formerly incarcerated individuals and veterans are highly encouraged.

Note: We highly encourage early recruitment. Hitting your targets early does not reduce your compensation; rather, it allows you to transition your focus to supporting the community you built.

Key Responsibilities

To achieve these outcomes, you will:

• Learn the CC program thoroughly to passionately and accurately explain its benefits to potential matches.
• Leverage your personal, professional, and community networks to find people who are a great fit for the program.
• Promote and encourage attendance at our monthly events through direct relationship-building and reminders.
• Stay connected with our team by attending Zoom meetings as needed and responding to messages in a timely manner.
• Transition into a support role once recruitment goals are met, helping check in on participants and troubleshoot early community connections.

• Relational builders: You are highly comfortable conducting outreach, starting conversations, and building trust with people who may feel isolated.

• Reliable partners: You value follow-through, prompt communication, and complete confidentiality regarding sensitive participant information.
