Key Responsibilities
- Craft and distribute messaging across:
- Social media (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, BlueSky)
- Create Instagram account ahead of the 2026 Convening and run content regularly before, during, and after the Convening
- Convening and monthly FCCP newsletters and email campaigns (through MailChimp)
- Internal channels (Slack, Monday.com, WordPress knowledge)
- Work directly and closely with web developer and Convening consultants regarding Convening needs, particularly registration administration
- Check FCCP Convening emails regularly and often
- Collaborate across teams (program, membership development, events, operations) for consistent messaging
- Be comfortable multitasking and receiving assignments from multiple people
- Monitor public perception, analyze sentiment, and recommend improvements
- Represent FCCP as a consultant in virtual and in-person forums; manage communications inquiries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, members, and partners
- Stay updated on communications best practices within philanthropy
- Maintain internal communications: team updates, meeting minutes, presentations
- Use online technology comfortably to support virtual programs, such as Zoom, sharing screen capabilities, and advancing PowerPoint slides
- Support urgent communications needs and help manage sensitive issues
- Assist with marketing campaigns promoting FCCP’s membership, programs, and events
- Ensure all communications adhere to NEO’s security regulations
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide progress updates
- Other duties as assigned. Flexibility is essential for the role
QUALIFYING SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of racial justice, equity, and an inclusive democracy
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience relevant to the role
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Must be effective, creative, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and possess a high degree of emotional intelligence to work independently and with a team
- Positive, customer-focused attitude with a sense of humor.

- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen effectively
- Ability and willingness to periodically travel, attend events in person, and occasionally execute tasks during weekends for high-priority projects. Must be able to adhere to travel and/or in-person event requirements and procedures
- Ability to multitask and accommodate different time zone working hours
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications is required
- Proficiency with Slack, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and MailChimp is preferred
COMPENSATION & LOCATION
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and other relevant factors, the salary range for the role is $$55–$70/hour.
Location: This is a remote position that may require some travel to attend in-person events, and occasional work outside of typical business hours for high-priority projects. FCCP principally operates on Eastern time zone hours and all employees, regardless of geographic location, will be expected to work within these hours.
