Parking Reform Network · Remote (Pacific time / Oregon preferred) · Full-time
The Parking Reform Network is a small national nonprofit working to change parking policy across the United States. We work with local advocates, allied organizations, and policymakers. We're diversifying our funding, and this is the role that builds and runs the engine that does it.
Position Overview
The Development Manager plays a central role in building and running Parking Reform Network's revenue engine: owning the donor and member giving funnel, the systems behind it, and the campaigns that keep it moving. We're looking for a highly organized, driven professional who enjoys building systems, working with people, and is excited to help build out PRN's development program from the ground up. This position combines strong systems and operational skills, sharp writing, and an instinct for spotting opportunity.
You own members and individual donors end to end: the campaigns, the systems, and the follow-through. You're the operator, building the frameworks and running them day to day. Our marketing agency supports sponsorships, and the President owns major gifts. This is a new position, reporting to the President. We're building this role to grow with the organization and the person in it. Based on performance and PRN's revenue growth, we see potential for this position to expand into a Development Director role over time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own the donor and member giving funnel (acquisition, conversion, retention, renewals, the Professional Member tier, and mid-tier donors), and develop the strategy behind it.
- Run and publicize our recurring campaigns (Giving Tuesday, year-end, renewals, member drives) on a calendar, on time, tracking results to spot ways to improve.
- Own donor data in Salesforce: lists, segmentation, reports, and clean data, spotting what could be better and getting it built with Operations and IT.
- Keep our tools connected (Luma, Mailchimp, Stripe, Salesforce) so acquisition, messaging, and giving stay wired together, and catch it when something breaks.
- Spot and route opportunity: research new contacts and donors, flag major-donor and sponsor potential, and route leads to the President or right staff.
- Steward donors with timely thank-yous and renewal appeals you write yourself.
- Keep development numbers clean for the org-wide dashboard, and work with our marketing agency to amplify campaigns and craft donor content.
- Launch and grow new revenue streams, like the Professional Member tier, and bring well-scoped ideas to improve our giving programs.
- Represent PRN at events, and pitch in as an active member of a small, collaborative team.
Qualifications
- A Salesforce power user who sees what's possible: strong with lists, reports, and segmentation, and able to look at a rough setup and propose how to make it better, not just operate what exists.
- Systems-literate: you understand how integrations work conceptually, not as a developer.
- A funnel operator with real campaign experience.
- Opportunity-minded: you notice the contact or donor worth a closer look, and you act.
- A clear and effective writer (appeals, thank-yous, stewardship).
- Open to AI: we leverage new technology appropriately and intentionally, and you're interested in learning how to leverage AI and build code to generate actionable insights.
- Self-directed: you see what needs to happen and do it, without waiting to be told.
- Genuinely interested in Parking Reform Network specifically, curious about climate and parking policy, and drawn to mission-driven work, with the drive to grow into development leadership.
If you see yourself in this role and are energized by the mission but don't check every box above, we encourage you to apply. We evaluate candidates holistically, not against a checklist.
Details
- Location: Remote, on Pacific time. West Coast candidates preferred, it's where we're based and building toward shared benefits and more in-person collaboration. Some travel required.
- Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000, plus benefits (QSEHRA health reimbursement, paid time off, floating holidays and a 401(k) employer match).
- Type: Full-time, exempt.
