Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned, high-quality instruction that promotes student growth and achievement.
- Submit weekly lesson overviews and maintain strong instructional plans.
- Use assessment data to drive instruction and ensure student mastery.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Build a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom culture.
- Maintain a beautiful, organized learning environment that showcases student work and thinking through regularly updated bulletin boards and displays.
- Collaborate closely with arts teachers and colleagues to support school-wide events, performances, exhibitions, and celebrations, including events that may occur beyond the school day.
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in conferences and other family engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with grade-level and content teams and actively participate in professional development, coaching, and feedback cycles.
- Foster creativity, curiosity, and student agency through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- New York State Teaching Certification (or working toward certification)
- Experience working with diverse learners and urban communities preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus

Nivel de Idiomas
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Ability to provide clear, professional written communication, including family correspondence, report comments, and instructional materials.
