Summary of Job Duties:
- Serve as a visible, compelling, and accessible ambassador for PCTF throughout the H + H system.
- Design and conduct high-impact virtual and in-person meetings, trainings, and informational sessions with CIR members, employer representatives, and other key stakeholders to promote PCTF grants and other HSBP member benefits.
- Perform active portfolio management, including proposal reviews, equipment inventory assessments, and financial analysis, to ensure fidelity to organizational and board directives.
- Grow the overall application pool and ensure proposals and applications to PCTF Equipment/Educational Materials, Research/Community Project, and Holiday grants are successfully submitted by CIR members.
- Participate in and contribute to organizational planning, staff meetings, and special union/benefits initiatives.
- Track and report on key trends, needs, and opportunities within the CIR NYC H + H chapters and communities.
- Monitor grantee progress, reporting, and outcomes to evaluate grantmaking impact and ensure compliance with grantee responsibilities.
- Assist in all PCTF Board of Trustees relations and activities, including developing agendas, preparing minutes, and providing logistical support for Board meetings, events, and good governance processes.
- Create and distribute promotional materials, including fliers, newsletters, and social content, to advertise PCTF grant offerings and application deadlines to members and other stakeholders.
- Manage and ensure all PCTF application platforms, grants and constituent relationship databases, and other digital infrastructure are up-to-date.
- Organize, monitor, and complete all vendor payments, medical equipment purchases, and member funding requests on a weekly basis.
- Maintain accurate and accessible record-keeping of all grants, board, and other critical organizational documents.
- Identify and develop meaningful relationships with key employers, vendors, and community stakeholders, including hospital executives, residency program leadership, and departmental administrative staff.
- Draft persuasive and professional stakeholder emails, board and staff memos, grantee award letters, and other key foundation communications products.
- Provide responsive and daily member-facing communication, support, and guidance at every phase of the grantmaking lifecycle to support the distinct needs of applicants, grantees, and other CIR member leaders.
Capture, analyze, and communicate key grantmaking data and metrics from multiple sources to understand and showcase fund performance and impact.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of coordinator-level experience in organizing, project/program management, or operations/administration roles for labor, philanthropic, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations.
- Demonstrated track record of leading complex projects, programs, and initiatives involving multiple deliverables, priorities, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and communities, preferably in labor, public health, or community-based environments.
- Ability to work long hours and travel to multiple hospital worksites in different boroughs to achieve the objectives of the PCTF mission and directives of the PCTF Board of Trustees.
- Ability to serve and be accountable to a leadership body of resident physicians.
- Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and build systems.
- Familiarity with the principles and practices of social justice philanthropy, bargaining for the common good, and/or grassroots health systems change preferred.
Salary:
This is a bargaining unit position represented by the CWA Local 1032, with a starting salary range of $75,000-85,000 depending on experience. Hybrid work environment with most work occurring remotely, at hospital worksites, and in the Long Island City office. Some travel to local, regional, and national Union events will be required.
