    Six Rivers is currently seeking bids for an independently contracted behavioral health provider for our Circles of Peace Restorative Justice Program.

    Position Type: Independently Contracted, Part-Time, At-will, “Back up provider”

    Contract Period: August 2025-February 2026, with possible option for extension beyond.

    Anticipated number of hours: Approximately 5-10 hours/month.

    Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience. $100-$175/hour

    Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center is a non-profit organization committed to fostering peaceful and equitable communities through innovative conflict resolution approaches. The Circles of Peace program helps address crime and harm by focusing on repairing the damage done, keeping everyone safe, and promoting healing. It’s an alternative to the usual way of handling these things through the justice system and is a proven alternative that prevents crime from happening again. This restorative justice program was thoughtfully designed with victim advocates and justice system partners, and with technical guidance from New York University Center on Violence and Recovery.     Background

    We currently contract with a licensed behavioral health provider who conducts safety screenings and consults on referred cases. We are seeking a licensed behavioral health clinician to serve as a back-up provider during periods when the regular clinician is unavailable.

    The contracted clinician will conduct client safety assessments and provide consultative support to the Six Rivers team during the regular provider’s leave from October 2025 to February 2026, following a paid training and onboarding period in August–September 2025. After February, the clinician may be invited to continue on an as-needed basis to cover future provider absences.

    Position Summary:

    Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center is seeking a fully licensed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon, as a contracted Clinician for our Restorative Justice Program. The Clinician will play a vital role in this initiative, working as needed to provide safety screenings and consultation to the Six Rivers team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Safety Screenings: Conduct thorough safety screenings (generally in-person, in Hood River or The Dalles), with program participants to understand their needs, circumstances, and readiness for participation in the restorative justice process. Safety screenings also include a review of participants’ relevant mental health and substance use history, in the context of the referral for the Circles of Peace program.
    2. Consultations with the Six Rivers team: Regarding cases, proper referrals for appropriate resources and interventions relevant to goals of the circle process.
    3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including safety screenings with assessment/recommendations integrated, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon. An associate with a clinical supervisor may be considered.
    • Preference given to practitioners with experience with domestic violence and safety screenings.
    • Holds own malpractice insurance.
    • Strong understanding or willingness to learn about restorative justice principles and practices.
    • Adherence to the organization’s social media guidelines and all relevant ethical guidelines is paramount in this role for fostering a positive and trusting environment for community members who have been impacted by serious harm.
    • Exercises sound judgment and discretion in all aspects of the work, particularly when dealing with vulnerable individuals and sensitive situations.
    • Maintain professional boundaries and a high level of confidentiality at all times, both during and outside of work hours.
    • Demonstrate respect, empathy, and cultural humility in all interactions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
    • History of working with both youth and adults.
    • Ideally would have/would be open to having a clinical supervisor (not mandatory).

    Working Conditions:

    • This is a part-time, grant-funded, independently contracted, at-will position.
    • Work hours are flexible and scheduled based on provider availability and program need.
