    Position Title: Vice President of Program Strategy & Impact

    Reports to: CEO

    Classification: Exempt - Full Time

    Working Hours: Standard hours with night and weekend hours expected for special events

    Working Location: Majority onsite in Boston-based office, with some remote flexibility and statewide travel; up to 15% national travel

    Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is a dynamic statewide nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that every young person in MA has access to quality mentoring relationships, regardless of who they are or where they live.

    An affiliate of The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR), MMP is part of a national effort that helps grassroots organizations foster quality mentoring relationships by producing research for the field, shaping policy change through advocacy, and driving public awareness on the impact of mentoring for young people.

    For more than 30 years MMP has served as an intermediary organization, providing the critical link between national evidence-based research and programs across the State. MMP provides the tools, research, training and best practices adults require to truly show up for youth in a caring and consistent way in schools, community, and workplaces.

    Overview of Position:

    The Vice President of Program Strategy & Impact will report to the President & CEO and serve as an executive member of the MMP leadership team.

    The VP of Program Strategy & Impact will lead the organization’s strategy and delivery of training, capacity building, and evaluation efforts and the team directly responsible for training from instructional design through assessment.

    This is a newly created position, coming in at a time of organizational change. The person in this role will have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the newly redesigned Program Strategy & Impact team

    This role will oversee a small but dynamic team of 2 with expected growth to 5-6 over the next 3 years. The team is directly responsible for:

    • Training & Instructional Design – Developing and delivering high-quality, evidence-based training and technical assistance for mentoring and youth-serving organizations
    • Capacity Building – Supporting and strengthening mentoring systems within higher education institutions and corporate businesses to expand access to high-quality mentoring relationships
    • Data & Evaluation – Overseeing impact measurement, learning strategies, and the use of data to inform program improvements and advocacy efforts

    The VP will ensure that MMP’s programs are grounded in best practices, responsive to community needs, and aligned with our commitment to advancing equity through mentoring.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy across training, capacity building, and impact measurement to advance MMP’s mission and goals, including revenue generation
    • Oversee increased effectiveness of educational institution partnerships and successfully expand into partnerships with corporate workplaces
    • Leverage data to measure MMP’s effectiveness, identify areas for further impact, and gather data-informed insights for both internal and external communications
    • Utilize current market trends and community research to inform training and workshop strategy
    • Collaborate across the executive team, organization, and Board of Directors to co-own decisions around strategic direction, implementation, and partnership
    • Lead, empower, and develop a small team of professionals to find creative solutions to modern problems, successfully delivering the impact and expansion of MMP’s mission
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for MMP’s thought leadership in programmatic spaces, statewide and local conversations, and public forums
    • Collaborate with the Advancement team to produce reports, briefings, and white papers that advance the mentoring field and support grant related requirements
    • Increase contracts with educational institutions and corporate partners to increase program delivery and revenue generation
    • Represent and contribute on behalf of MMP on related MENTOR affiliate-network working groups and projects; including presence national events

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in nonprofit management, social sciences, education, public administration, or a related field
    • 10+ years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably in the nonprofit sector
    • Expertise in instructional design, adult learning methodology, and mentorship best practices
    • Proven capability to gather and analyze data and market research to identify opportunities and impact strategy and revenue
    • Experience with strategic planning and program development, monitoring, and evaluation in nonprofit settings
    • Strong understanding of community engagement and partnership building
    • Excellent public speaking and communication skills, with the ability to inspire groups and build relationships across sectors
    • Proficiency with technology for client management, surveying tools, and data analysis
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in both internal practices and external programming
    • Possess a valid driver’s license for required travel to programs and partners across the state of Massachusetts
    • Other duties as assigned with respect to organizational growth and restructuring
