    Position Summary: 

    • The successful candidate will be a team player who will serve as general support to the development office, including coordinating effective membership out-reach, work on membership and donor communications including engagement and database tracking, and manage the logistics and tracking for development events. This is a fulltime position with remote one day per week and reports to the Senior Director

    of Development

    Responsibilities: 

    Membership and Donor Communication:

    • Attend events to engage members and recruit new ones.
    • Assist in drafting member and donor communications.
    • Act as a point of contact for members, addressing their inquiries.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to run campaigns and social media efforts to engage prospects and convert them into members/donors.
    • Research prospects and create donor profiles.

    Event Management:

    • Work with the Senior Director of Development on planning and executing 3 annual fundraising galas, as well as member and trustee dinners, gallery openings, and donor cultivation events, both on- and off-site.
    • Maintain event tracking lists and follow-up with attendees both before and after the event.
    • Coordinate volunteers, vendors, entertainment.
    • Process expense requests and reconcile financial statement on events with the Finance department.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team on all event-related collateral and promotional material (print, web and social media) including invitations and event programs.
    • Manage all event-day logistics including volunteers and staff.

    Database Management & Gift Tracking:

    • Train on processing gift entries, ensuring best practices for data entry.
    • Assist in the transition to a new fundraising database and train staff on its use.
    • Understand how to generate reports, pull lists, and analyze data related to donations and memberships.

    Administrative Support:

    • Assist the CEO and Senior Director of Development with donor meetings and events, including taking minutes and distributing them.
    • Perform other tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 1 or more years of nonprofit development experience, particularly in individual giving.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in Chinese is a plus.
    • Superior organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage individual’s financial data with discretion.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse range of constituents including Trustees, donors, members, and high-level prospects.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising databases and CRM Systems.

    Salary & Benefits: 

    • The salary range is $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience.
