    Program Facilitator Responsibilities: The Program Facilitator will work closely under the guidance of the Program Coordinator and the dedicated team to achieve the following objectives: • Facilitate Youth Programming: Implement and lead engaging youth programming at Smart from the Start sites, ensuring that activities are tailored to children's and adolescents' developmental needs. • Provide Direct Services: Provide comprehensive and compassionate direct services to children and their families, addressing their unique challenges and fostering a supportive environment for growth and learning. • Develop Outreach Strategies: Collaborate with staff to create and manage effective outreach strategies that increase families’ awareness of and participation in the available services. Use innovative methods to reach underserved populations. • Lead Community Outreach Efforts: Organize and spearhead outreach initiatives within the community to promote Smart from the Start programs. Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and community leaders to enhance visibility and engagement. • Maintain Interest and Enrollment: Track and monitor enrollment trends to ensure steady participation in programming. Implement strategies to maintain and boost family engagement, making programming accessible and relevant to their needs. • Manage Program Inventory: Oversee the management of program equipment, inventory, and supplies specific to Smart from the Start-related activities, ensuring that all materials are well-maintained and readily available for use. • Support Program Evaluation: Collect, organize, and maintain necessary information and documentation for program evaluation efforts. Coordinate with Smart from the Start staff and external program evaluators to ensure that data is accurate and helpful in assessing program effectiveness. • Participate in Meetings and Training: Actively participate in site-specific and Smart from the Start staff meetings and relevant training sessions. This participation is crucial for staying informed about program developments and best practices. • Represent Smart from the Start: Attend community meetings and events as a representative of Smart from the Start, articulating the program’s goals and fostering positive relationships with community stakeholders. • Perform Additional Duties: Be flexible and willing to take on other responsibilities to effectively support the program’s objectives and meet the community’s needs.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. • Significant work experience with culturally diverse families and ethnically and economically diverse communities. • Ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals, families, co-workers, and community agencies. • Knowledge of and familiarity with Philadelphia neighborhoods, community organizations, and schools. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to lead others, work independently, and collaborate. This position reports to the Smart from the Start National Program Director.
