    Descripción

We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial partner who can help transform sermons, conversations, and public commentary into a growing national platform.

The Executive Producer will serve as a true strategic partner to Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar in building and executing a multi-channel content strategy designed to expand the reach and influence of the Building Bridges Initiative.

During the first six months, the focus will be on establishing a reliable, high-quality rhythm across two to three priority channels. Over the following year, the initiative will expand through new channels, collaborations, and infrastructure for amplification. The long-term aim is to build a substantial national audience, deepen engagement across multiple platforms, and establish a durable network of collaborators and media relationships.

This position offers the opportunity to help shape something from the ground up and to play a key role in building a distinctive voice in American public life.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy & Leadership

    • Own the content strategy for the Building Bridges Initiative—setting priorities, managing the editorial calendar, and ensuring consistent execution across all channels.
    • Act as a strategic partner to Rev. Lavanhar, helping determine which ideas to amplify, when, and how.
    • Identify and cultivate opportunities to expand reach through collaborators, journalists, activists, creators, and organizations whose audiences align with the initiative’s mission.
    • Track analytics across platforms and use data to continually refine strategy.
    • Help shape the long-term growth and evolution as new opportunities emerge.

    Content Production & Distribution

    • Edit and repurpose sermons, reflections, interviews, and commentary into compelling short-form video, social media posts, and written content.
    • Write captions and commentary that connect Rev. Lavanhar’s ideas to current civic and cultural conversations.
    • Manage and grow the initiative’s presence across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube content.
    • Support or produce Substack essays and assist with op-ed placement in national and regional publications.
    • Coordinate with contractors: including videographers, editors, and graphic designers—as the initiative scales.
    • Nurture the existing online church community while growing a national audience.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience building and executing multi-channel digital content strategies, ideally in a mission-driven, civic, nonprofit, or media environment.
    • Strong editorial judgment: you know which ideas resonate, how to frame them for different audiences, and how to edit for clarity and impact.
    • Proficiency in short-form video production and editing tools such as CapCut and Adobe Premiere.
    • Excellent writing skills and comfort with both social media copy and editorial content.
    • Experience using analytics and audience data to inform content decisions.
    • A networker’s instinct: you know how to identify the right collaborators and build relationships that expand reach.
    • Entrepreneurial temperament: you enjoy building something new, experimenting, learning quickly, and adapting as opportunities emerge.
    • Deep alignment with the values of this initiative: pluralism, bridge-building, civil discourse, intellectual curiosity, and reasoned moral leadership.
    • Familiarity with Substack, podcasting, or opinion journalism is a plus.

    Why This Role Matters

American public life often feels polarized, performative, and exhausting. Yet for more than twenty-six years, Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar has been doing something different: building trust across lines of difference, speaking with moral conviction without contempt, and demonstrating that pluralism and compassion can thrive even in unlikely places.

The Building Bridges Initiative exists because that experience—and that voice—have relevance far beyond Tulsa.

This role is an opportunity to help build something rare: a platform dedicated not to outrage or ideological purity, but to thoughtful engagement, curiosity, and the conviction that disagreement need not become contempt.

You will be joining at the beginning. The systems, relationships, and creative possibilities are still taking shape. For the right person, this is a chance not simply to manage content, but to help create a national presence capable of contributing to a healthier public conversation.

The Building Bridges Initiative is founded on the belief that this kind of voice can make a meaningful contribution to the national conversation.
