The Foundation for Catholic Education exists to promote the growth and vitality of Catholic Elementary Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. We partner closely with the Office of Catholic Education and a broad network of donors, parishes, and advocates to ensure that Catholic schools remain accessible, sustainable, vibrant, and mission-driven.

The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and purpose-driven Staff Accountant who wants their work to matter. Whether you're recent graduate or an early-career professional with 1–3 years of experience, this is a chance to grow your skills while supporting a mission that impacts thousands of students and families.

You’ll be helping fuel a movement that keeps Catholic education alive and thriving in our region. You’ll collaborate with both the Foundation and the Office of Catholic Education, supporting financial operations with professionalism, precision, and a commitment to service.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support elementary schools in developing an understanding of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, cash flow projections, and budget to actuals
• Assist with annual budgeting processes and financial analysis
• Reviewing and assisting schools with general ledger entries and documentation
• Contribute to the implementation of accounting best practices
• Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
• Identify and document process improvements and take initiative in problem-solving
• Support additional finance-related projects and duties as needed

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and general ledger accounting preferred
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
• A collaborative spirit and a deep respect for confidentiality and integrity
