Descripción
The Associate Director of Business Services serves as a key administrative and operational partner to the Director of Finance and Operations and contributes to the organization’s financial stability, regulatory compliance, service quality, facility safety and effectiveness, and the reliable management of organizational vehicles and physical resources.
Key responsibilities include
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to facilities-related issues.
- Ensure that assigned facilities are fully operational and that all building systems are functioning properly.
- Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work across multiple locations.
- Create and manage a fleet management process to ensure the safety and proper maintenance of PACE and company vehicles.
- A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Responds quickly and effectively to facilities issues to minimize disruptions to center operations.
- Assists and prepares annual audits and financial reviews and gathers all reporting information.
- Monitors and processes payroll during the absence of the Director of Finance Operations.
- Monitors and oversees Medicaid billing and revenue.
- Assists employees with benefit questions, enrollment procedures, required documents, and available resources.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
- MSA degree is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or operations.
- Experience and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as they are related to non-profit organizations.
- Experience with Medicaid billing, government-funded programs, grants, and reimbursement preferred.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, accounting software, and electronic billing systems.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, delegate work to others, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within Northbrook and surrounding areas
- Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License with a clean driving record and vehicle insurance.
- Experience working with organizations serving individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of frequently lifting up to 40 pounds and moving items.
- Able to safely go up and down the stairs to access building units.
