    About FAFCC

The Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (FAFCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association representing more than 100 free and charitable clinics in all 67 Florida counties. Our member clinics provide high-quality health care to low-income, uninsured, and underinsured Floridians at little to no cost. Since 2014, FAFCC has moved more than $97 million in state grant funding to its members, and every dollar the state invests in FAFCC's clinics returns $19.36 in care. FAFCC strengthens its members through advocacy, grant administration, education, and shared resources, serving as the collective voice of Florida's safety-net clinic community.

FAFCC is a small, fully remote team where every person owns meaningful work and sees the results of it.

    About the Role

The Grant Coordinator keeps FAFCC's grant portfolio running on schedule and in compliance. This position tracks deliverables, collects and organizes evidence for reporting, monitors subrecipient and partner compliance, and maintains the systems that let FAFCC show its work to funders without a scramble at reporting time.

This role is hands-on with FAFCC's subrecipients and grant partners, and hands-on with the underlying grant management infrastructure: award charters, deliverable calendars, implementation plan tracking, and monitoring documentation. A portion of the role supports general grant administration across FAFCC's broader portfolio, including the State Funds Grant Program and other active awards.

    Responsibilities

    Subrecipient and Partner Coordination

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for subrecipients and grant partners on day-to-day grant administration questions.
    • Track each subrecipient's budget execution against the approved implementation plan and flag variances early.
    • Support subrecipient risk assessment and monitoring, including collecting and reviewing required documentation on a regular schedule.
    • Maintain compliance documentation tied to applicable federal and state requirements, and escalate open compliance questions to the Senior Director of Operations.
    • Coordinate site visits, check-ins, and corrective action follow-up with subrecipients and partners.

    Deliverable Tracking and Reporting

    • Own and maintain the master deliverable calendar across FAFCC's grant portfolio, with owners and start-work dates for every milestone.
    • Collect evidence continuously rather than at deadline, tying documentation to the monthly financial close in QuickBooks Online.
    • Draft interim and final reports to funders, working from the standardized implementation plan format (activity, milestone, owner, due date, evidence, measure).
    • Maintain a one-page award charter for each active grant, capturing key terms, restrictions, and reporting requirements at execution.

    General Grant Administration

    • Support State Funds Grant Program cycles, including applicant question triage and award notification logistics.
    • Assist with grant agreement review and contract simplification work as new awards come online.
    • Maintain grant files and records in an organized, audit-ready structure.
    • Provide data pulls and portfolio-level summaries to the Senior Director of Operations and CEO for Board and funder updates.

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with grant compliance fundamentals, ideally including federal and state pass-through funding requirements.
    • Understanding of nonprofit financial basics, including how grant expenses tie to a general ledger and class-based accounting.
    • Strong organizational and project tracking skills; comfortable owning a calendar with many moving parts and no room for missed dates.
    • Clear, professional written communication for reports, subrecipient correspondence, and internal documentation.
    • Proficiency with spreadsheets and shared tracking tools (Google Sheets, Airtable, or similar).
    • Able to work independently in a fully remote, small-team environment.
    • Able to build relationships with subrecipient partners while holding them accountable to compliance requirements.
    • Able to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously without losing track of detail.

    Compensación

FAFCC offers a benefits package designed to support a healthy, sustainable remote work life:

    • Health insurance contribution: $300 per month toward your health plan.
    • Retirement: 3% employer contribution.
    • Cell phone allowance: $75 per month.
    • Paid time off and holidays: In accordance with FAFCC policy.
    • Fully remote: Work from anywhere in Florida, current residency required
