Job Description: Community and Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Manager

    Reports to: Director of Development

Location: NYC-based office (Hybrid schedule, minimum 1 day/week in office)

    Position Type: Full-Time

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

    About Us

Children in Conflict (CiC) believes that no child should have their future stolen by war. We protect, educate, and provide mental health support to children living in the world’s most dangerous conflict zones.

While our impact is global, our U.S. team is small, agile, and growing. This is a "build-it" role. We are looking for a high-energy "doer" who wants to roll up their sleeves, connect with our supporters on the ground, and help us scale our footprint in the United States. If you thrive in a scrappy environment where your work directly translates to more children thriving, we want to meet you.

    Position Overview

The Community & Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraising Manager is the face of our grassroots efforts. You will be responsible for turning individual supporters, community groups, and young professionals into active fundraisers. This is a hands-on role that balances strategy with day-to-day execution—one day you might be optimizing a race registration page, and the next you’ll be hosting a mixer for our Young Professionals Group.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Grow the Movement: Increase P2P and endurance program revenue by 20% within the first year.
    • Build the Network: Expand the Young Professionals Group (YPG) membership and double the number of community-led "DIY" fundraisers.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Endurance & P2P Programs

    • Own the Races: Plan and run our presence at national endurance races and our Annual 5K.
    • Platform Management: Keep our fundraising tech running smoothly—build team pages, optimize registration, and help individual fundraisers troubleshoot their sites.
    • Coach our Fundraisers: Be the main point of contact for our runners and walkers. Give them the tools, tips, and encouragement they need to smash their fundraising goals.

    Community & Young Professionals

    • Lead the YPG: Be the "go-to" person for our Young Professionals Group. Help them plan networking events, social campaigns, and mixers that actually get people excited.
    • Grassroots Support: Manage "DIY" fundraisers from schools, retail partners, and independent supporters. Make it easy for people to raise money for us.
    • Volunteer Coordination: Build and manage small, reliable committees to help our events run like clockwork.

    Development & Operations

    • Event Support: Provide administrative "boots on the ground" support for our larger annual donor events.
    • Compliance: Handle the practical stuff—getting event insurance, permits, and licenses so our events stay legal and safe.
    • Budgeting: Track your program spending and provide simple, clear reports on what worked and what didn’t.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: 5 years in fundraising or event management. You should have a track record of actually moving the needle in P2P or endurance programs.
    • Technical Chops: Comfortable with CRM systems (like GiveSmart or EveryAction) and P2P platforms (like GiveGab).
    • Communication: You’re a natural storyteller who can talk about our mission in a way that makes people want to help.
    • The "CiC" Mindset: You are a self-starter who doesn't need a massive manual to get to work. You’re happy working independently but love being part of a tight-knit team.
    • Flexibility: Ready to travel when needed and work evenings/weekends when the event calendar calls for it.

Children in Conflict is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

    Compensación

We know that the best work happens when our team feels supported and energized. That’s why we offer a benefits package that puts people first, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. We also champion a modern workplace through our hybrid work model and a generous PTO policy, giving you the flexibility to manage your schedule and recharge when you need to.
