    Descripción

    The Manager of Institutional Giving is responsible for managing all aspects of the grant’s lifecycle including researching, writing, managing, tracking and reporting for all institutional funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and other institutional funders.

    Working collaboratively across the organization, the Manager of Institutional Giving develops compelling funding proposals, builds meaningful relationships with institutional partners, ensures compliance with grant requirements, and provides exceptional stewardship to maximize long-term support. This position plays a critical role in achieving the organization's annual fundraising goals and advancing its mission.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Institutional Giving & Grants Management

    • Develop and implement strategies to increase foundation, corporate, and government funding. With quantifiable objectives Research, identify, and manage a pipeline of prospective institutional funders.
    • Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept papers, and reports.
    • Manage grant timelines, compliance requirements, budgets, and reporting processes.
    • Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather outcomes, data, and financial information.

    Stewardship & Relationship Management

    • Develop meaningful communications and impact reports for institutional and governmental partners.
    • Coordinate funder meetings, site visits, presentations, and engagement opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate prospect, proposal, gift, and stewardship records in the donor database.
    • Track fundraising activity, pipeline progress, and revenue outcomes.

    Collaboration & Organizational Support

    • Partner with Finance, Communications and Program teams to gather information for grant applications and reports.
    • Stay informed on trends in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, and nonprofit fundraising; collaborate with VP of Development to identify appropriate funding opportunities in alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Represent the organization at funder meetings, networking events, and community activities as assigned.

    Skills and Abilities:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree. Master’s Degree is a plus.

    Experience:

    • Five (5) years of experience writing foundation, government and other public funding proposals and reports in a non-profit environment.
    • Demonstrated success by securing foundation, and/or government funding.
    • Proven experience cultivating and managing relationships with institutional donors.
    • Demonstrated experience developing grant budgets, reporting and managing complex funding requirements required.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing Federal, State and governmental grants highly desired; experience in health and human services funding spaces preferred.

    Computer Skills: Ability to use Google Suite products and Microsoft Office products, Proficiency with donor CRM systems, and grant management tools.
