    We’re looking for a versatile, fully-remote Marketing Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy, creativity and execution. In this role, you’ll help us deepen engagement with our existing B2C audience, strengthen our partner ecosystem and advance our marketing automation systems to help SkillUp support more than 10 million individuals by 2030. You’re great for this role if you like variety in your work — one day you might be building an email journey or refining automation flows, the next you’re crafting partner messaging or optimizing content for user engagement.

    Founded in July 2020, SkillUp Coalition is an innovative nonprofit connecting more than 4 million individuals skilled through alternative routes (STARs) with the right tools, resources and support to make confident career shifts, find quality living-wage jobs and achieve promising career growth without the need of a college degree. Through its cutting-edge technology platform and step-by-step career guidance options, SkillUp has connected STARs with career, training, and job support nationwide. The coalition brings together more than 150 leading organizations, including training and education providers, technology developers, policymakers, employers, and philanthropies.     Key Responsibilities

    Marketing Automation & Nurture

    • Lead strategy and execution of automated campaigns across email, SMS, and in-product channels to engage and retain users.
    • Build, test, and optimize nurture campaigns to drive conversion, reactivation, and key impact metrics.
    • Collaborate with data and product teams to segment audiences and personalize experiences.
    • Consistently monitor data trends to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Develop dashboards and reports to measure, demonstrate and share marketing automation performance.

    Content & Campaign Development

    • Develop and manage multi-channel campaigns blending storytelling and performance across email, social and partner channels.
    • Write and edit marketing content that reflects our brand and worker voice, driving action.
    • Partner with product marketing to integrate platform offerings into user touchpoints.
    • Design and deliver creative assets that generate measurable engagement.
    • Collaborate across teams and partners to align on campaign execution and insights.

    Partnership Marketing

    • Support the planning and execution of local and national partner campaigns, events and co-branded initiatives.
    • Manage relationships with key partners to ensure alignment, timely deliverables and shared success metrics.
    • Help identify new partnership opportunities and support go-to-market strategies for joint initiatives.
    • Bridge the gap between partnerships and marketing by packaging partner offerings into scalable, user-facing solutions.

    Team Culture

    • Manage contractors and vendors as needed, fostering collaboration and innovation.
    • Mentor junior staff and support professional growth aligned with organizational goals.
    • Model excellence in project management, documentation, communication, and team engagement.

    Qualifications

    • No degree requirements.
    • You have 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content or other related fields.
    • You’re equal parts creative and analytical — you love building and designing campaigns that not only look great but perform well.
    • You’re passionate about analytics and testing to inform marketing decisions and optimize engagement.
    • You’re fluent in marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo or similar) and skilled in email strategy and CRM optimization.
    • You have strong writing and design skills (Canva, Adobe) and can tailor content for different audiences and formats.
    • You’re organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
    • You’re motivated by mission-driven work and enjoy collaborating across teams and partners.
    • You bring an entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable navigating complexity and identifying new opportunities.

    Compensación

    Compensation & Benefits

    Target salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience, geography and Internal equity.

    SkillUp offers a generous compensation package which includes employer-sponsored healthcare, vision and dental, 401K employer match, 25 days of office closure, PTO, education stipend and annual salary increases based on performance.
