Bloomingdale is seeking an Executive Director who brings steadiness, judgment, and humanity to a complex and deeply meaningful leadership role. This is a position for someone who understands the realities facing community music schools today and is motivated by the work of sustaining access, excellence, and community. The right leader will be financially fluent and people-centered—able to make hard decisions with clarity and care, to say "not now" when needed, and to bring others along through trust, communication, and shared purpose—while embodying the School’s culture through deep listening, respect for faculty and staff expertise, and transparent, empathetic communication across constituencies. This is a role for a practical visionary: strategic, calm under pressure, and committed to building a durable future for a community music school that means so much to so many.

Compensación
Medical insurance (70% employer-covered), discounted dental and vision benefits, four weeks of paid vacation, and 12 paid holidays. A 403(b) retirement plan is available, with a 1% employer match and immediate vesting.
