    Position Overview

    The Content & Communications Coordinator is a part-time role focused on developing and sharing compelling content that supports SEL’s mission and programs. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining digital and print communications, including social media content, email newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials. Working under the supervision of the Education & Outreach Manager, the Content & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across platforms. This role is ideal for a strong visual storyteller and clear communicator who is passionate about local food and community engagement.

    Responsibilities

    Content Creation & Promotion

    • Create original digital and print content to promote SEL’s programs, events, and mission
    • Maintain a consistent and engaging presence on SEL’s social media platforms
    • Design flyers, graphics, handouts, and materials using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
    • Draft and schedule email newsletters and promotional announcements in collaboration with the Education & Outreach Manager

    Website & Digital Management

    • Update website content to ensure timely and accurate program information
    • Maintain digital assets including shared photo and video libraries
    • Support SEO and website structure improvements to increase online visibility (with guidance)

    Internal Collaboration & Communication Support

    • Coordinate with other staff to gather stories, updates, and photos for use in communications
    • Ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment across all communication channels
    • Track social media analytics and digital engagement metrics to help guide future content strategy

    Public Presence & Outreach Support

    • Assist with occasional tabling at events and farmers' markets
    • Support preparation of outreach materials and displays

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field
    • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences
    • Experience with social media management and content scheduling tools
    • Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
    • Experience with WordPress or similar website platforms
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and take initiative with minimal supervision
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative nonprofit environment
    • Enthusiasm for SEL’s mission and a desire to connect communities with local food
    • Ability and willingness to work occasional evening or weekend events
    • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
    • Photography and video editing skills are a plus

    Schedule: Flexible schedule depending on the availability of the applicant. The position will need to attend some meetings and other events but many components of the job can be done on a flexible schedule. We will work with the individual on a fixed schedule that is beneficial to both parties.

    Location: Hybrid. Some work can be performed remotely but participation in working hours at our office will be required. Physical location is 4 Captain Smith Emerson Rd, Lee, NH 03861. 2nd floor access by stairs only.

    Technology: Employees must have their own computer and regular access to internet speeds that are capable of handling streaming video meetings.
