The Center for Asia-Pacific Security Studies (CAPSTSTW) is a nonprofit research organization focusing on global political affairs, U.S. politics, and Asia-Pacific security. We produce policy-oriented research by combining expert insights with academic analysis.
We are seeking Geopolitics Researchers based in the United States, Europe, and Latin America (or your applications will not be seen) to contribute regional and thematic expertise to our policy-oriented research initiatives.
The Geopolitics Researcher will conduct political and geopolitical research on assigned topics and regions. They will assist with expert interviews and produce structured research notes and detailed analysis reports. The researcher will monitor regional and global political developments on an ongoing basis and provide contextual insights to support the research team.
Candidates must have a background in political science, international relations, or a related field. Strong research and analytical skills are required, along with excellent English writing abilities. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Familiarity with regional or global geopolitics is considered an advantage.
This is a part-time, project-based position with flexible working hours, depending on current project availability. Long-term collaboration is available for qualified candidates.
