    Descripción

    We are seeking a collaborative, organized, and mission-driven Grants & Development Manager to lead institutional fundraising efforts and strengthen relationships with foundations, corporations, and government partners.

    Position Summary

    The Grants & Development Manager is responsible for managing the organization's grants portfolio from prospect research through proposal development, reporting, and stewardship. This position works closely with program staff, finance, and leadership to secure funding that supports refugee and immigrant communities throughout the Rochester region.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Research and identify new grant opportunities.
    • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
    • Manage a portfolio of foundation, corporate, and government grants.
    • Maintain grant calendars and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate proposal development with program and finance staff.
    • Prepare grant budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
    • Track awards, reporting requirements, and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate fundraising records within Salesforce.
    • Assist with donor communications, newsletters, and annual reports.
    • Support broader fundraising and development initiatives as needed.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent professional writing and editing skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

    Preferred

    • 1–3 years of nonprofit fundraising or grant writing experience.
    • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM.
    • Budget development experience.
    • Familiarity with refugee, immigrant, or human service organizations.
    • Experience managing multiple funding sources and reporting requirements.

    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate is curious, self-motivated, and enjoys telling stories through data and writing. They are comfortable collaborating across departments, building relationships with funders, and developing systems that strengthen organizational fundraising.
