San Clemente Ambassador Internship
Descripción
Descripción
The Samuel Lawrence Foundation (SLF) is an environmental nonprofit based in Solana Beach, CA working at the intersection of science, arts, and education. Our flagship issue is the nuclear waste left behind at the decommissioned San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS). Since its shutdown in 2013, 3.6 million pounds of nuclear waste have remained onsite--only 100 feet from the Pacific Ocean. Our mission is to keep our community safe by advocating for onsite repair facilities, improved monitoring, and policy solutions that move the waste off the beach.
