Becky’s Fund is looking for an outgoing, passionate Intern to assist in the delivery of education and awareness efforts for students, and direct services to those affected by domestic/dating violence.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and updating educational materials or assisting with original research.
- Responding to calls and emails from people seeking help and information.
- Working on youth peer leadership initiatives including Becoming Your Own Hero, Men of CODE, and Domestic Violence College tour
- Supporting development and expansion of curricula, helping to teach the program and analyze impact through data collection
- Creating a listing of nation-wide referrals for those affected by domestic and dating violence through phone app, ENDOVI
- Assisting with outreach and other administrative support for educational and programmatic goals.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- A background in sociology, psychology, gender studies, and other relevant social sciences.
- Experience presenting and/or educating about gender-based violence, sexual assault, stalking, sexual harassment a plus
- Experience locating and analyzing social science research online.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, delegate and work independently.
- Comfort with public speaking or being open to learning and practicing a plus.
- Experience working with computerized databases and word processing.
- Strong attention to detail.
Timeline and Hours
- Minimum 30 hours/week.
- Undergraduate, graduate and law students are welcome to apply.
- Hours can be used for School Credit.
