Our Project
China is one of the most populous nations in the world, and undergoing significant growth. The country is set to play a decisive role on the road to protecting the world from climate change. What will that role be? This project will identify and work on opportunities to accelerate the energy transformation to a society free from fossil fuels.
LINGO is working on a number of pilot initiatives, concepts and framings, and building connections with Chinese NGOs, businesses and academics. Your role will be to work with the director on growing LINGO's involvement, taking on a diverse and dynamic work program. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Mapping Fossil Free Zones in China
- Making the Fossil Free Product Standard known in China
- Working on Special Policy Studies on topics such as Electromobility, and Ecological Red Lines
Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Eager to help put an end to fossil fuel burning worldwide.
- Computer with stable internet connection.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Minimum 3 months full-time equivalent commitment, part-time is possible.
- Ready to take on responsibility.

- Experience in activism, environmental initiatives, writing engaging texts, internet research, campaigning, fundraising.
The Leave it in the Ground Initiative (LINGO) works at one of the most important fronts for stopping run-away climate change: keeping fossil fuels in the ground and transitioning to a 100% clean energy world. We develop high-impact, game-changing initiatives around coal, oil and gas extraction, in defense of a healthy planet.
Compensación
We are looking for candidates to start as soon as possible.
We can offer a recommendation letter to successful interns.
