Misión
Our mission is to be the primary source and resource for regional teacher talent recruitment and initiatives. This includes a role for TWM to actively recruit, prepare, and support teacher candidates directly. We achieve this through the cultivation of a strong network of partners with shared needs, including district and charter schools, local and state education agencies, and local institutes of higher education. Importantly, all of TWM’s teacher recruitment efforts focus on improving the quality, quantity, and diversity of teacher candidates in Western Massachusetts, with a specific emphasis on diversity.

Here in Western Massachusetts, we’ve been working hard to improve our schools-but we need to do even more to ensure that all our students get the world-class education they deserve. Though Massachusetts leads the nation in overall student performance, too many students are not getting the level of education they’re entitled to. Teach Western Mass is bolstering the efforts of our hard-working educators by attracting more colleagues who are committed to becoming partners in change.
