The American Teenager Project

  • Acerca de

The American Teenager Project aims to combat social division among youth, cultivate empathy towards the struggles of adolescence, and teach us all to value the young adults in our communities. We believe young people have the right to be seen and heard and have tremendous capacity to shape their environments for a more positive future. We work towards a society in which young people forge alliances across difference and advocate for each other and all peoples’ full civil and human rights. Through collaborative portrait photography and personal history telling we provide the structure through which young people identify their commonalities and are empowered to stand up for each other in the face of injustice.
