Magnetar Youth Investment Academy

Mission

The Magnetar Youth Investment Academy, which is funded by the Magnetar Capital Foundation, a 501(c)3 Corporation, educates high school youth living in Chicago to become financially-literate, financially-healthy, smart, confident individuals. Through a robust, turnkey curriculum, students actively engage in the financial world around them and ultimately build and manage their own mock stock portfolios. Each class offers students the chance to learn timely life lessons about personal finance that they can put to use immediately in their everyday lives and beyond. The curriculum is thorough, innovative, hands-on and designed to capture the imagination of students and provide them with they tools they need to become financially-responsible adults.
